Video of Sold Out Web 2.0 PanelVideo of Sold Out Web 2.0 Panel

Bulldog CEO Rob Solomon participated last night in a panel sponsored by the Austin Chamber of Commerce on “Today’s New Marketing Tools,” namely, Web 2.0 tactics such as blogs, video, LinkedIn, Twitter and the like. In fact, I chose a bird’s eye seat deliberately so I could watch the audience reaction to the event (yes, sometimes I channel CJ from The West Wing, so what?) and sure enough, there was plenty of what looked like Twitter activity going on.

The panel was sold out, and for the most part well received, although I picked up some comments from time-starved businesspeople in the audience that the question of how to make time for social media wasn’t really answered. The session came very close to turning into a panel on blogging, which to be sure is extremely time consuming, but moderator Thom Singer managed to steer it back to middle ground. Thom has posted some video from the event.
