Social Media: Leave No Industry BehindSocial Media: Leave No Industry Behind

It’s not as if we needed proof that the topic of social media is resonating strongly with marketers today. The hundreds of registrants for our recent BtoB Online Webinar on social media in high-tech marketing told us that story.

Still, it never hurts to have plenty of data to back it up, and we certainly have that this week as we review the registrant profile for our upcoming Webinar with our partner Social Media Today. In The Art and Science of Forming Online Communities, coming up June 6, Social Media Today has put together a panel of social media experts to discuss applications for BtoB marketing. We don’t typically reveal registration numbers before live events, but I’m pretty sure I’m not giving away confidential information in saying registration has been robust.

And as with all good lead-generation programs, it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about the quality. Who is interested? Who has identified a pain point in incorporating blogs, wikis, online forums and the like into lead-generation programs?

Everybody, it would appear.

The registration breakdown for this event is incredibly diverse. Company size, title, industry. Even within that “Other” category in the graphic above, there are groups such as educators who have registered for this event to learn more. Making the leap from embracing social media to really understanding how it can play into a lead-generation program…and it can…is the critical breakdown we hope to address in this Webinar.

We’re looking forward to a terrific panel. I’ll update the blog with highlights after the event later this week.
