Pissing Off a BloggerPissing Off a Blogger

A descriptive post from Rohit Bhargava’s session on “10 Easy Ways to Piss Off a Blogger,” part of the series of Core Conversations held at this week. Rather than arrive with his own list, Bhargava used the session to lead a conversation in which bloggers and marketers created their own list of “Don’ts” for connecting with bloggers.

You can read the list yourself: I’d really recommend it for anyone who wants to generate more interest among bloggers who cover your space. The photo illustrating the post is also very funny. Marketers be warned: There was some discussion about whether bloggers should be treated like traditional journalists. Putting aside your opinion on that, if you care what the blogosphere is saying, don’t mistake “not a journalist” for “not deserving of respect.” The bloggers in this group believe they have something important and useful to say and seemed committed to trying to say it well. As the list indicates, woe to those who treat them with disrespect.
