Bulldog Culture
From the moment they conceived of Bulldog Solutions, co-founders Rob Solomon and Todd Davison decided the company’s culture would be an important contributor to its success. They wanted to create an identity that didn’t get lost in the shuffle, and a culture that both reflected and nurtured a commitment to an empowered, creative, best-in-class workforce.
Our business and our culture are intertwined. Our culture and its manifestations—from big productions like our annual Halloween party, overseen by the official Minister of Culture—to the vintage music posters lining our hallways—are tools that help us address critical business issues such as retention, public relations and recruiting.
We owe a lot of our success to our investment in the company culture.
Music, Metal and the Mambo
One of the longest standing hallmarks of the Bulldog culture is our annual Halloween party, which takes place in downtown Austin on the Thursday before Halloween. Employees, clients, friends and colleagues scour local thrift stores for costumes to reflect themes that have included a heavy metal Headbangers' Ball, a ‘70s-inspired Boogie Fever, a Latin theme focused on telenovelas and a hip-hop party called Beat Street Bash. The party is an annual reminder that we've kept our sense of humor. It's also a great generator of local buzz for our company, and the party's reputation doesn't hurt with recruiting, either.
